Well, the holiday season is upon us once again. Where I live, it snowed all day and is still snowing. It’s quiet and peaceful outside. I just love it when the snow sticks to every single little branch on the trees. It is so beautiful outside.
I have been baking for 3 days straight. I love to bake but only because I only do it once a year. I love it when the house smells likes goodies!
Tomorrow is Christmas Eve. My little guy will be opening presents tomorrow as well as Sunday. Santa was awesome to him this year!
Now that I have shared what my holiday is like, I would like to tell you what it means to me. Family, friends and loved ones. The time we share together is more than precious. I miss those who are not with me and dread the day when those I love will be gone. I have lost a lot of people in my lifetime and find Christmas to be the most difficult time for me. I think about my Grandfather, how much I miss him and how I know he would have loved my son. When I think about him, I can hear him laughing at my little guy and I can see the smile on his face as he watches and listens to him. I am sure that most of you understand exactly what I mean. Enjoy those who are with you now, not just during the holiday season but all year-long. Make this year-end on a positive note and take it with you as we pass into the new year. Live for today, forget the past and love what the future has in store for you. You are living this life, right here, right now… Make the most of it. Those who are no longer with us, actually live on inside of us. It is the things we say, the character traits that they have passed on to us and the stories we tell the young about them that makes them continue on in this life.
For all of you reading this, I wish you a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanza or whatever you celebrate. If you do not celebrate a holiday, celebrate life and all it has to offer but most importantly, smile, laugh and be merry. My love to you all!
